The Sensaphone IMS-4000 is a distributed monitoring solution that can monitor multiple locations within a facility or across the globe. This is possible using IMS-4000 nodes where each one can monitor up to 8 external IMS sensors. Up to 31 nodes can report back to a centralized IMS host which runs the “Console View” software. The software is licensed for multiple sites and users without the need for additional licenses.

The IMS-4000 introduces new features over it’s sibling, the IMS-1000, such as scheduled monitoring which allows specific sensors to be monitored during specific times or days of the week. Unlike the IMS-1000, the voice/fax module is a standard feature on the IMS-4000. Another significant feature on the IMS-4000 is the ability to group users and alarms – a useful function for larger organizations with more demanding needs.
An optional “IMS PowerGate” unit can be integrated with the IMS-4000 that allows you to manually or automatically switch up to 8 electrical outlets from the IMS-4000. This gives you the ability to remotely turn on, turn off or power cycle remote equipment. The switch has an integrated 15A circuit breaker and can accommodate up to 12A total. A “PowerGate2” is available that features individual input circuits. Two of the outlets can switch up to 10A while the other six can handle up to 4A.
